Biographical information:
Things I've been doing lately:
I live in SC with my husband of 34 years. We lived in New Orleans the first year of our marriage. From there we moved to Up State New York where we lived for 9 years. Our children were all born during the NY years. We moved to Aiken, SC in 1991 and have since come to think of Aiken as home. Prior to my mom moving in with us we are empty nesters with two of three children living nearby and the third is in Atlanta.
My family:
I married a great man from Chattanooga, TN. I met him when I spent a summer there during my college years. We have three children: Aaron is 30, a high school teacher currently working on a masters degree, married to a theater teacher that we love. Bethany is 28, an elementary school teacher, married to the man of her dreams! They presented us with our first grandchild in 2015. We ADORE our granddaughter!! Ian, our youngest, is 25 and lives in Atlanta, GA. My brother lives in NC, about 5 hours away. My father passed away in 2003. My mom has Alzheimer's disease is recently moved in with Doug and I.
Life experiences:
I have enjoyed my husband and children greatly. Traveling with them has been so much fun. I hate to admit it but we are Disney addicts. We are also very fond of Cruising. I have enjoyed being a published scrapbooker and teaching classes. Other than my children, one of my more meaningful experiences was participating in a 350 mile/4 day bike ride to raise money for Aids charities. It was more difficult than I thought it would be, and more rewarding!
My favorite memories of the good ole days:
Spending time with friends - too many to name here. Spirit week! Yearbook. Some great teachers!
My favorite things now:
Scrapbooking, reading, bicycling. I have a paper crafting blog and a design team blog.
My favorite books, movies and music:
I am a bookaholic and there is no way I could name just a few.
I work at:
I worked in the Environmental Engineering field.
